The Orientation Evening for September has been moved from September 7th to the second Tuesday of the month, September 14th. Please let us know if you would like to attend.

It was a very high energy day with all types of stuff moving in every direction—a grand experiment in letting life lead the way. In the words of one of our Yard Sale Team members: “It was fun! We did well!” After the dust settled, $898 had made it’s way into our cash box. Once we make a donation to the Servanthood House for the use of their front yard, we’ll send the remainder on to the Zen Monastery Peace Center.

Many, many thank-you’s to all who participated—buying items, contributing unwanted items, or just wishing us well—it all counted.

And, its not too early to start collecting those unwanted items for next year….

Mountain Zen Practice Center is a group of folks interested in Zen Buddhist Meditation as practiced at the Zen Monastery/Peace Center in Murphys, California, under the guidance of Cheri Huber. It is organized and financially supported by the people who practice in the Asheville area.

If you are new to Mountain Zen Practice Center, you will need to attend an Orientation Evening usually scheduled for the 1st Tuesday of each month. If you are interested in attending an Orientation Evening, please email or call to let us know, then once you have confirmed that you will attend, you will be given directions to the center.
